Send files across your room

Dropp moves files between two devices on the same network. A laptop and a phone, two phones passed across a table, whatever’s in the room. Open the same page on both and each one shows up in the other’s list.

Files go straight from one device to the other over a direct connection. Nothing gets uploaded to a server, so there’s no size limit beyond what your browser and disk can handle.

How it actually works

A small signaling relay just helps two devices find each other and agree on a connection. It passes along connection details, not the files themselves or their names. Once that handshake is done, the transfer runs peer-to-peer.

Staying in control

Turn on “Require Approval” and every incoming transfer waits for you to accept it, so nothing saves to your device without a tap. Add a PIN and anyone sending you files has to enter it first, checked device-to-device and never sent anywhere else. If your network lumps you in with strangers, a room code lets you pair with exactly the device you mean to.
